Albany drivers geared up for pre series warm up
Atwell Park have there first meeting on the 25th of this month and Albany based Wamda drivers are looking forward a good meeting to iron out bugs before the series begins in Geraldton a fortnight after. Seasoned campaigner Steve Beres will hit the track with his new XF along and will at the pointy end of series if some luck come his way.
Ken Tucker in his black and orange Au falcon will be on the pace early, applying pressure to the front runners along with veteran Bob Boyd who was very quick last at the end of last season. Two drivers Ayden Trewern and Jason Pearce will have there fingers crossed for a clean faultless series after last years engine issues, Both Ayden and Jason have two new motors ready to rock.
Steve Panizza Also just rebuilt a XF after a hard hit late last year, Steve is planning to do selected rounds this year, it will be interesting to see how he travels. Peter Theyer is pushing out some long hours to get Sean’s VZ ready before Xmas but most probably 2010 some time, Barry Hall has the ex Theyer VS he should be ready to race as well. Matthew Kata is also working hard to get his XF back on track after a hard hit late in the season as well!! (Must be an XF Thing), fellow New ford driver Clint Parker will seat in a modified for the first time ever, so he will be looking to terms with set up.
There’s no Trevor Knox this year as he sold the falcon and is started work on he new secret weapon, but don’t be surprised to see some of the Perth guys getting practice for the national title. It’s looking to be a big year for Albany Modified driver in this year’s season
