On The 2nd August the WA Modified Drivers Association held their AGM and end of year trophy presentation dinner at Metro inn South Perth, with all those who came watch Jason Pearce Voted in as President and were quietly confident of increased numbers. With plans in place for the 08/09 series and the addition of national title based in Albany, renewed interest will lift the profile of Modified production in WA.

The winner for the 2007/2008 South West Country series was taken out by veteran John Purser follow by two of the fastest young drivers around Brendan Selleck 2nd and Aydan Trewern 3rd. John Purser was also voted the drivers driver award by his fellow competitors and Shane the ball room dancer Van Daele was announced rookie of the year. All series driver received prize money for their efforts during the 07/08 series.

Geraldton’s Mid West Modified Magic on the 8th November is the first round in the 08/09 series of the 8 meetings WAMDA have locked in. All drivers are looking forward to a very close season of racing.
