Opposite Lock Sprint This Saturday Night

The GWN7 Metabo WA Modified Sedans Series will roar back into life this Saturday night with the running of the Opposite Lock Sprint at Esperance Speedway. The Opposite Lock Sprint will double as round 4 of the series as drivers will make the long haul to Esperance hoping to get the better of current series leader Jason Pearce in his immaculately turned out Protek Carpentry & Fencing Services Ford Falcon.
Holden drivers Calon Ball and veteran John Purser from Jurien Bay will be looking for a good run at this round with both drivers within striking distance of the lead of the series. Returning to the series at the Esperance round are Albany drivers Ayden Trewern, Steve Beres, Matt Kata, Graeme McSweeney, Barry Hall and Bob Boyd with Trewern a former three time series champion. Local Esperance drivers Neville Mansted and Hamish McAlpine will be very prominent on their home track with McAlpine making his debut in Modified Sedans after being very competitive in the Street Stock division previously.
Drivers will contest three heat races on the night followed by the hugely popular top six shootout and the 20 Lap Feature Race to decide the nights winner. Racing will get underway from 6pm with the Southside Engine Centre Super Sedan Series also on the program with a quality field entered.
